Start the tour with a visit to Jaffa – the ancient port city of Tel Aviv and one of the oldest inhabited places in the world. On to Tel Aviv to walk the famous Rothschild Boulevard with a guided description on the Unesco World Heritage Bauhaus Architecture.

Continue to Florentin neighborhood of South Tel Aviv for a graffiti tour, where you will learn about this amazing neighborhood through its history, culture and especially its beautiful street art, all of which helps us better understand modern Israeli society.

Experience the Tel Aviv ‘shuk’, followed by a visit to Nachalat Binyamin, a local Israeli artists’ market, before returning to Jerusalem.

Pick up at 08:00 and drop off approximately 18:00.

Depart Jerusalem for a drive via the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea area. Take the cable car up to Masada for a tour of the remains of the 2000-year-old fortress and palace built by King Herod. Following the tour, experience a float in the Dead Sea - 400 meters below sea level, the lowest place on earth.

Note: Sun hat, walking shoes, swimwear, sunscreen and swimming shoes are recommended. A towel and locker will be provided for your convenience.

Pick up at 08:00 and drop off approximately 17:00.

Saturday, 17 September, 2022

US$120 per person

Start the tour with a panoramic overview of Jerusalem before visiting the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed.

Travel along the Kidron Valley to view the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the Old City. Enter the Old City via the Dung Gate and walk through the Jewish Quarter, past the Western (Wailing) Wall. Visit some of the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Time will be provided to shop at the Arab market before concluding the tour by viewing some of the main sites of the New City by bus.

Pick up at 09:00 and drop off approximately 14:00.


Post-Tour D


Wednesday, 21 September, 2022

Depart Jerusalem to go north, and begin your tour with a visit to Caesarea – an archaeological site of Roman and Crusader era ruins, built by King Herod. A short stop on Mt Carmel to view the magnificent Bahai Gardens. On to Nazareth, a town nestled in a hollow plateau 350 meters above sea level. According to the New Testament this town was the home of Joseph and Mary and the site of the Annunciation. See the Church of Annunciation and the Old City.

Pick up at 07:30 and drop off approximately 17:00.

Wednesday, September 21:

Pick-up from conference hotels and transfer to the domestic airport for a flight to Eilat. Cross over into Eilat via the Arava border. You will be met at the Jordanian border by your English speaking Jordanian guide for a 4x4 Wadi Rum tour, before transferring to Petra for overnight.

Thursday, September 22:

Tour of Petra, an ancient Nabatean city – one of the seven wonders of the world and named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer to the Aqaba border after your visit, and cross over back into Israel for your domestic flight to Tel Aviv and overnight, or return home via Amman airport with your international flight.

*Departure flights from Queen Alia International Airport must be from 21:00 onwards


Post-Tour F


Thursday, 22 September, 2022

Experience a hands-on archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin. After the excavation, a tour of the cave complexes dating back to the Hellenistic (Greek) period, some 2,200 years ago where you will see an olive press, water cisterns and columbaria. Continue to see the Soreq Cave – one of Israel’s most spectacular natural wonders, accidentally discovered in 1967 when a local quarry crew blasted away some rock to reveal this underground cavern also known as Avshalom [Absalom’s) Cave. End the day with a visit and tasting at Tzuba Winery [or similar], located in the Judean Hills.

Pick up at 08:00 and drop off approximately 17:00.

Note: Closed shoes must be worn for the dig. Entrance into the cave will not be allowed if wearing sandals/open shoes.
