Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 March 2022

Abstract submission is closed


The conference scientific committee is pleased to announce a call for abstracts for oral and poster presentation and symposia.

A symposium comprises a set of related papers (3 or 4 papers) that is submitted by a symposium chair, along with a short symposium abstract that describes how the papers are related.

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed for acceptance based on their scientific merit.


Kindly specify if you would prefer an oral, poster or symposium presentation on the online submission form.


31 March 2022: Abstract submission deadline.

30 June 2022: Registration deadline for presenting authors. Note: inclusion of abstracts in the scientific program is dependent on payment of registration fees.



Submissions may cover any topic relevant to the field of trauma, adversity, COVID-19 and mental health. Abstracts are welcome from clinicians including GPs, psychiatrists, paediatricians, psychologists, social workers, community workers, academics, and researchers as well as administrators and policy makers.


  1. Abstracts must be submitted using the online submission link. Please do not fax, mail or email your abstracts as they will not be considered.

  2. All abstracts must be submitted in English.

  3. The names and affiliations of all authors should be included in the abstract.

  4. Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 200 words (excluding title and affiliations). Your abstract should clearly and concisely outline the CONTENT of the presentation and should include key points/issues to be addressed using the following structure: Objective, Method, Results, Conclusion  

  5. Each presenting author may submit up to two abstracts.

By clicking on the above abstract submission button, you will be directed to the abstract submission page. Here you create a profile for yourself and will be able to submit an abstract.


If you would like to submit more than one abstract or if you are a symposium convener submitting on behalf of all presenters, please press the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the abstract submission page after adding the first abstract. You will be redirected to the next page where you will be offered to submit an additional abstract or sign out. If you choose to submit an additional abstract, you will be redirected back to the abstract submission page, where your profile details and the symposium name will be maintained and you will be able to submit the second abstract for the symposium.

This process will be repeated until all abstracts you would like to upload have been submitted.



Once you have submitted your abstract, you can edit the document/authors/affiliations etc. by logging in again.


Please note that this feature is only available up until the submission deadline or until the abstract has been accepted.



You can check the status of abstracts submitted by logging in. Click on the abstract tab to track the review process. 

Once your abstract has been reviewed you will receive an email notification. 


Keep note of your username and password so that you can use these features.​
